All lanes of I-680 in Sunol open after overturned dump truck blocks lanes for hours - CBS San Francisco

All lanes of Interstate 680 in Sunol are open Thursday evening, hours after a dump truck overturned on on the freeway, leading to blocked lanes in both directions.
According to CHP, the crash happened just after 9:30 a.m. as the dump truck traveling northbound on I-680 crashed over the median near Andrade Road, spilling the dirt it was moving on both sides of the freeway. There were no reports of any injuries or any other vehicles involved in the crash.
The CHP Dublin office posted photos showing the cab of the truck on one side of the barrier and part of the trailer that was transporting the dirt on the other.

Authorities were advising drivers to use I-880 northbound to Highway 238 to I-580 to get around the lane closures.
As of shortly before 1 p.m., CHP said the left lanes remained blocked in the northbound direction, and the far left lane remained blocked heading southbound.
As of about 4:30 p.m., the CHP announced that all southbound lanes were reopen but left lanes in the northbound direction remain blocked.
All lanes of the freeway reopened shortly before 7 p.m.
